Upcoming Events:12-Nov-2011: The Scout Shop will be in Renmore Scout Den this Saturday from midday until 3pm. They will be selling all beavers, cubs, scouts, ventures and rovers uniforms. For more details on price etc please see http://www.thescoutshop.ie/ Sun 23-Oct 2011: CAKE SALE: 10:30am-2pm Sunday. Cakes and/or donations can be dropped to the scout den on Saturday 22nd between 5 and 7pm, or on Sunday from 9:30am onwards. Fun, games and delicious cakes and buns for all! See you all there! Uniforms for sale: Do you have a uniform that you no longer use? If so, send it to your child's next meeting. Put the clean uniform into a plastic bag and clearly mark it with your name, contact number, the contents and how much you wish to sell them for. If you would like to purchase a second hand uniform, please talk to your child's leader December 23/24 2011: Wonderful news!! Renmore scouts have been given the go-ahead to assist with BAG PACKING IN DUNNES STORES, Briarhill on DEC 23rd and CHRISTMAS EVE (their busiest days of the year!!!). With the help of the Scouts & Ventures - and parents of Cubs, Beavers & Scouts - this should be a fantastic opportunity to help with the funds we in Renmore Scouting so badly need. Come along and offer your help and support on these days. It's a lot more fun than you'd think!! 09-Sept-2009: Hi All. WE'RE BACK!!! First meeting of the year will be on Monday 14th September. See you all there. 01-Sept-2009: Hi All. Registration for all Beavers, Cubs, Scouts & Ventures will take place at 7.00pm on Monday 7th September 2009. A parents or guardian for all youth members will need to attend and registration fees can also be paid at this time. 12/06/09: Annual Camp in Lough Dan, Co Wicklow. It’s planned for Friday July 10th – Sunday July 12th. More details later. April 25th: City Hike A City Hike is being organised by 1st Galway (St Nicholas) on Sat, April 25th 2009. We will be allocated a departure time from 10am onwards with some groups only starting at 12 or 12.30 due to numbers. We will advise the departure time before the event. The hike will take approximately 3 hours. Cubs should bring a packed lunch in a backpack, which they can carry themselves and appropriate rain gear. We will meet at St Nicholas School beside the Town Hall Theatre and go from there, arriving back to the school at the end of the hike. The cost per Cub is €2. Please contact Paul Whelan (087-2962285), Simon Walker (087-9810267) or any Cub Leader, as soon as possible if your child will attend one or both of these events as we need to confirm numbers to the organisers. April 17th: Group Camp The 2009, 13th Galway Group Weekend Camp in Renville Oranmore is planned for Friday April 17th – Sunday April 19th. Drop off time Friday between 7:00 and 7.30 pm. Park at marina and walk up to field behind playground. Collection Time Sunday between 1:00 and 2:00pm. More details later. Cost of Weekend Camp is €30 per Cub. 29th May - 1st June : JamÓige 2009 – Cub Scout Camp This year the Jamboree for cubs will take place from Friday 29th May until Monday 1st June 2009 in the Dalgan Park, Navan, Co. Meath and will be an action packed 3 night Summer Pack Holiday with all of the programme being supplied which will keep everyone entertained from dawn until dusk facinated by the theme of mythical & Mystical Ireland.
