Hi All. Please take a moment to remember one of the greats in scouting in our county. It is with great sadness that i must announce that, one of scouting’s greatest is gone to her rest. Earlier this evening, Martee McCaffrey passed away. Martee was involved in scouting for over 30 years and served as a cub leader, Beaver leader and Group leader of 1st Galway (St Josephs). Martee would be more fondly remembered in her role as a trainer and served in the position of Assistant Commissioner for training in the former CBSI/CSI and as County Training Co-ordinator for the County until her retirement two years ago.
